On June 20th and 21st in San Francisco, The Global Council will join together internationally renowned educational, medical, political and human rights leaders. Council members expected to attend include Dr. Rajaa H. Dhaher Al-Khuzai, member, Iraqi National Assembly; Joyce Mungherera, Executive Director, YWCA, Uganda; Rt. Hon. A. Kim Campbell, former Prime Minister of Canada; Luz Lajous, President of Promujer-Mexico; and the Honorable Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland. The International Museum of Women will host a historic gathering during this inaugural meeting of women thought leaders.
The Global Council serves as advisors and advocates for the International Museum of Women, and provides a unique opportunity to establish connections to the wider global community of women.

On Tuesday, June 21st — Women's Human Rights: Personal Experiences From Women World Leaders — a Public Forum featuring some of the Museum's Global Council Members will discuss the status of women's human rights through their own personal experiences.
The Public Forum will take place at 5:00 - 6:30 pm at the Merchants Exchange Club in the Julia Morgan Ballroom, 465 California Street, 15th Floor, San Francisco.
The discussion will be moderated by Jane Wales, President and CEO, World Affairs Council of Northern California.
A press reception will be held from 4:00 – 4:45 pm prior to the Public Forum.
