Grammy Awards Kick Off 2004 Party with Prince

Prince.Purple.Rain.gif

"Music's Biggest Night," The 2004 GRAMMY Awards, got their party started with Prince, in his signature purple, singing a medley of his best songs beginning with Purple Rain. The rendition was one I have never heard before. If it's available on an album, especially with "pretty in pink" Beyonce singing the song as a duet, I'd buy it in a heart beat.

The GRAMMY Awards were produced in association with Cossette Productions, and aired by CBS.

Tonight, we were living vicariously through everyone at Staples Center in Los Angeles, including Paula Abdul, Kenny Loggins, Jordan Zevon and the spirit of his father, the late Warren Zevon.

Beyonce.Dangerously.in.Love.jpgHer album beat out Ashanti's Chapter II, Mary J. Blige's Love & Life, Anthony Hamilton's Comin' From Where I'm From and R. Kelly's Chocolate Factory.

Before thanking the GRAMMY's for the award, Beyonce expressed to everyone that it was enough just being able to perform tonight. This was her first record as a solo artist.
