Guys: Have you made a dinner reservation for Valentine's Day? Yes, I know you've been busy with the Super Bowl and college basketball.

I hate to break to you, but unless you are the best friend of a restaurant owner in San Francisco, you've probably blown your opportunity to take your loved one to a select restaurant in the city on Saturday night.

But, alas, thanks to the wonders of technology, you have a chance to redeem yourself by making a reservation for Friday, February 13th. You'll still need to figure out something romantic to do on Valentine's Day, but I've got some suggestions for Friday night.

You'd better act now, as there are a bunch of other guys in the same boat reading this story, as well.

Thanks to our partnership with DinnerBroker, Rugged Elegance is able to suggest these restaurants to impress your Valentine. Please note that all these reservations were available at the time this story was posted, but availability changes quickly. The key is to be flexible.

The first category consists of restaurants that have set aside "prime time" tables for an additional fee. To make a reservation, follow the restaurant profile link, then follow the link entitled “Book A Reservation Online via Dinner Broker." Once you get to DinnerBroker, make sure to select February 13th as the date for your reservation.

Pickings are slim, but here are a couple of choices for Friday, February 13th:

- La Folie, 8:30pm, $25 fee

If you are willing to eat on the early or late side, you have a number of options. Because the demand for these tables is not as great, you have the opportunity to receive an automatic discount of 10% to 30%. Here are some of the options:

- BeauCoup, 10% off on tables at 6 and 9:30pm
- Night Monkey. 15% off tables at 6:30 and 30% off at 9pm
- Palio D'Asti, 15% off for tables at 7, 7:30 and 8pm
