Sally Ride Festivals

Sally Ride, the first U.S. woman to travel in space, will host the Sally Ride Science Festival on Sunday at Stanford University. The event is geared toward girls in grades 5 through 8. Parents and teachers are also welcome. The festival will feature a keynote speech by Ride, workshops given by local professional women as well as a street fair with booths, exhibits, food, music and a raffle. Adult women-only workshops available.
The festival begins at 11:30 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m. Cost in advance is $18, $25 at the door, which includes all festival events, lunch, snack and materials.
