Outdoor Dining on a Sunny San Francisco Afternoon

union.sqaure.jpg
What a delight! A sunny day in San Francisco. One of the auspicious spots for lunch in the sun is Emporio Armani's café. I didn't plan it, but I was wearing my favorite Armani suit, so I felt right at home.

Both Tim and I ordered the chicken caesar and house tea. The tea had a peachy taste and was not too sweet. Their grilled chicken caesar is a safe bet. Our main reason for stopping, and the reason we would come back, besides the sun, was the service and the opportunity to people watch. Quite the eclectic mix. Mostly business professionals heading back to their office or the Sheraton Palace for whatever conferences are taking place. (Today, it was an Ad conference.) A few tourists and a few techies on their way, like me, to CompUSA - just across the street.

Just two blocks away, I highly recommend you step into Hermés' new store on Grant. Just three weeks ago, they moved from their San Francisco flagship store on Stockton.

Moving into Hermés' old space is the tres chic, Loro Piana. But you'll have to wait until September to check it out.
