OSCAR.com
Oscar.com features a complete listing of all the nominees, film trailers, and exclusive photo galleries and videos from past Oscar Nights. This year, the site also includes many interactive quizzes like "Your Perfect Oscar Date," "Name the Oscar Winner," "Which Character Are You?" and "Know Your Oscar History," which allows users to test their Academy Awards knowledge.
Throughout the weeks leading up to Oscar Night, Oscar.com will continue to release new content to keep Oscar fans updated as the show approaches. On the big night, the site will include an exclusive live webcast from the red carpet as well as interviews backstage from all the winners in the press room.
The site includes exclusive coverage ranging from style and fashion updates, special features on nominated films and nominees, and video featurettes from official Oscar.com fashion expert, Tom Julian, who celebrates eleven years with Oscar.com and his twelfth year on the red carpet.
Harry Lin, vice president, ABC.com, which operates Oscar.com, said:
Fans are looking to the Internet to extend and enhance their television experience and Oscar.com is the premier online source that offers dedicated, engaging, and in-depth coverage at everything Oscars.
With even more exciting and exclusive content this year and a redesigned site that illustrates the allure and elegance of the Academy Awards, Oscar.com continues to be the definitive site that offers viewers all around the world Oscar news and entertainment.
Congratulations to all the nominees, to all those who almost made it, to the many responsible for helping make these films but who will not walk down the red carpet, to those lucky 3,400 who will walk down the red carpet and get at seat at the Kodak, and to the special few who will be blessed to take home that coveted prize on Sunday, March 5th, 2006.
We'll be watching ABC, this year's host "The Daily Show'' comedian Jon Stewart, star presenters Jessica Alba, Jennifer Anniston, Jamie Foxx (last year's best actor), Morgan Freeman (last year's best supporting actor), two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, Hilary Swank (last year's best actress), Sandra Bullock, and Luke and Owen Wilson (to name a few celebrities), as well as all the decked-out nominees "in the house."
The 2006 Oscars will take place in March rather than late February in order to avoid clashing with the Winter Olympics. Smart move!
The ceremony will be televised live on March 5th by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 pm PST / 8pm EST.
Look for photos of those who came to the Kodak Theater at Hollywood & Highland and made our selection for best dressed, most "rugged elegant" men, women and couples.
