2009 Porsche Panamera: A Four-Door Luxury Car for "Rugged Elegant" Moms

Porsche.2009.Coupe.jpg

I've always dreamed of driving a Porsche. But with two kids, a dog and a tall husband, it's not likely to happen for another ten years, at least. But wait!

On Wednesday, July 26th 2005 Porsche AG announced a new four-door, four-seat sport coupe that is expected to be on the market in only four years.

The German luxury sports car maker is calling their 2009 automobile the Porsche Panamera.

And from the looks of it, I'll want to drive from San Francisco all the way to Panama in it.

A retail price for the model wasn't released, but analysts have said it could range from $125,000 to $175,000 per car, depending on the options.

Chief Executive Wendelin Wiedeking said:

We indeed took a lot of time making the decision, but we now know that the Panamera fits to Porsche as it has all typical sports-car genes.

Porsche's other lines include the Cayenne, 911 and the Boxster.

Where the Porsche Cayenne was developed with Volkswagen AG, the Panamera's production will be a strictly Porsche product.

Now, if they would just make a convertible Panamera they could take my order, today.

That will give me five years to make deposits into my Porsche Panamera Savings Account. At that price, I'd better start saving my pennies now.
