The U.S. Military has created an energy bar with two "missions": It can give a welcome surge of energy to any runner, hiker, housepainter, sixteen hour-a-day entrepreneur, or on-the-go mom. And it helps support the troops.

The Army calls HOOAH! Energy bars "warrior-tested."

The creators of this bar claim that if it can offer an energy boost to a U.S soldier in the Iraqi desert, then it should do the trick for us basic mortals.

The new HOOAH! Bar, which has gotten our soldiers' seal of approval, is now available in U.S. commercial retail stores and via the Internet.

Chocolate Crisp

A 15 pack will cost you between $25 and $30.

A portion of the proceeds from each bar will go back to the Army laboratories that create food products for troops in the field.

This government research helps improves soldier safety, diet and quality of life.

The U.S. military needed an energy bar for the toughest customer in the world, the American soldier. No bar on the market was up to the challenge. So the military created the HOOAH! bar.

It's mission: Deliver SteadyEnergy(tm) and alertness to the soldiers.

Christian D'Andrea, who with his brother, Mark, licensed the federally registered trademark HOOAH! from the Army for commercial sales last year said:
