Rugged Elegant People, Places & Products: The Most Searched Keywords Which Led People to 'Rugged Elegant Living' This Spring

Googled.Cartoon.jpg

For the past year, I've wanted to take the time to analyze at least two months worth of Rugged Elegant Living and RuggedElegance.com traffic data and share the most popular Google and Yahoo keyword search results with our global "rugged elegant" community. I thought members of The Rugged Elegance Inspiration Network - which grew to over 580,000 unique visitors in May - might find it interesting to know who, what and where are the most "googled" places of taste profiled in RuggedElegance.com, and the most sought after healthy, adventuresome and/or soulful" people and products that we are writing about in Rugged Elegant Living.

The results are in and they are fascinating.

To follow are some of the more interesting searches that rank in Rugged Elegant Living and RuggedElegance.com's top keywords and phrases for March, April and May 2005.

This does not include the many variations of "American Idol" search results (save the host, judges and contestants searched) from Google News, Yahoo or Overture which led people to Rugged Elegant Living.

Since American Idol is a topic we covered throughout Season IV we could have projected a strong turn-out, especially when our stories land on the Google News homepage.

Separate from searches, such as "american+idol", " american+idol+2005", "american-idol", " american+idol+3", etc. here are the top people, places and products that our global online community is looking for.

The Most Searched Keywords That Led People to 'Rugged Elegant Living' and RuggedElegance.com This Spring

Two of my personal favorite "rugged elegant" people were Kate Hudson, 133rd out of all searches in March, April & May 2005, and Elin Nordegren, who was our 243rd.

*When Oprah recently re-ran her story about the making of Il Divo, the result led to Rugged Elegance selling over 1,000 copies of Il Divo's CD.

If a "Platinum album" means selling one million CDs, does it mean that Rugged Elegance sales have gone "Copper" now that we've sold 1,000 Il Divo CDs.

Perhaps Simon Cowell, the producer of Il Divo, will send us a copper-plated version and another thank you note to Oprah.

Once again, it goes to show us and the world that Oprah Winfrey moves markets.

On a separate note, it is fascinating that Adidas made the Top 25 Products List. Incidentally, Reebok also was one of the top searches in Rugged Elegant Living this spring.

American Idol and 'Rent' The Movie directed by Chris Columbus, were the top performance stories written in Rugged Elegant Living this spring.

Regarding San Francisco's most search "Rugged Elegant Places of Taste", we have posted a separate story in SF.RuggedElegantLiving.com called:

Rugged Elegant Places of Taste in San Francisco: The Most Searched Keywords That Led People to 'RuggedElegance.com' This Spring

And thanks to Nick Miller, our mighty, behind-the-scenes Web "master" for setting up Urchin, as well for everything else he does for us.

Inspire & Be Inspired.

Here's to healthy, adventuresome, soulful, "rugged elegant" living!
