Four Inches
The book is the brainchild of Jimmy Choo President and Co-Founder, Tamara Mellon.
Jimmy Choo, Ltd. is one of the world's finest and well-known luxury lines of stilettos and now handbags.
One of Mellon's best quotes about herself was, "I may not have the stereotypical head for business, but I have feet that were made for heels."
Mellon, who is rarely seen in public in less than a 4" stilettos, is one of few women in the luxury-shoe business.
She does not credit herself for having put Jimmy Choo on the map. However, she has done an incredible job introducing them to Red Carpet runways. Thanks to Mellon's efforts, celebrities like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Halle Berry have been strutting their stuff wearing Jimmy Choos for years. Then came Sex in The City. The tv show, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, helped make the brand a household name.
Expecting to "dig in" further awareness this Spring is Mellon's upcoming collaboration with Elton John.

About Tatler Magazine
Tatler is a British Society publication in the Conde Nast family of publications. Other Conde Nast magazines include: Vogue, Glamour, GQ, Brides, CNTraveller, Vanity Fair, Interiors, Johansen, and House & Garden.
Elton John's partner David Furnish was a contributing editor at Tatler until last week when the magazine published a tasteless story about David Beckham's past.
About Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham was born Victoria Caroline Adams on April 17th 1974 in Hertfordshire England, but is known by most of the world as "Posh Spice" or soccer star, David Beckham's wife.
In the mid 90's, Victoria rose to fame when she became one of five "Spice Girls", a music group adored by pre-teen and teenage girls. The fact that five female bandmembers could take the world by storm when boy bands were all the rage made them an overnight sensation. The term "girl power" can be attributed to the success of the Spice Girls, led by "Posh Spice." The five sexy singers, "Posh (Victoria), Scary (Melanie Brown), Baby (Emma Bunton), Sporty (Melanie Chisholm) and Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell)" became one of the biggest girl groups in music history. Together with the help of their manager, Simon Fuller and Virgin Records, they have sold over 35 million albums and 25 million singles worldwide.
A March 1998 research study done on the Spice Girls' effect on young British girls found: "What young girls seem to want from the Spice Girls is not an excuse to spend or a desire to be like them, but an affirmation of what they already have in themselves," said researcher Ann Kaloski.
The nine groups of girls surveyed, ages 6 to 8, saw the the Spice Girls as "fun, feisty and within reach." They said, "The Spice Girls make us feel good about ourselves."
On July 4th, 1999, after splitting with her band in May 1998, Victoria married one of the world's best athletes, soccer legend David Beckham.
Beckham is a British soccer player, known as the football player with the Golden foot, who currently plays for Real Madrid.
In October 2000, The Spice Girls made history in Britain when their single "Holler" hit #1 making them the first all-female group to have 9 #1 singles.
Victoria calls herself a romantic. In her autobiography Learning To Fly the Gucci girl previously known as "Posh Spice" shows she is a smart, woman of substance. Her book reveals her sense of humor, her fierce loyalty to friends and her commitment to family.
Victoria learned to smile when she became a mother in 1999.
Today, she is the mother of a five year-old son, Brooklyn, a two year-old son, Romeo, and a new baby, who will be born by cesarian on February 25th. If they have a girl, they are likely to name her Luna.
Elton John plays a very important role in the Beckham's family. He is Brooklyn and Romeo's godfather.
In addition to lending her long, beautiful legs and face to Elton John's AIDS charity effort, she has shared her voice on a solo album released by Emi Int'l in 2001 called, Victoria Beckham. This first solo cd, with a R&B edge, spawned two hit singles "Not Such An Innocent Girl" and "Mind Of Its Own."
About Tamara Mellon
Tamara Mellon is the president and co-founder of Jimmy Choo, Ltd., the London-based luxury shoe and handbag designer that introduces 130 new styles of shoes two times a year (Autumn/Winter, Spring/Summer along with their annual Cruise Collection). Jimmy Choo ready-wear shoes, boots and now bags can be found at over 150 high-end retail stores including Saks Fifth Avenue and Harrods, as well as twelve of their own stand-alone boutiques. Jimmy Choo boutiques are currently located in London, New York, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, South Coast Plaza, Dallas, Miami, Orlando, Moscow and Kuwait, Hong Kong and Korea.
The price tag for these coveted heels: $200+ - $600+ for a pair of sandals or slingbacks, depending upon if you're looking for day-or-evening-wear.
Mellon is the daughter of Tommy Yeardye, founder of the Vidal Sassoon products empire, and Ann, a former haute couture model.
Tamara grew up in Beverly Hills, England and attended Heathfield boarding school in Ascot, Berkshire. Her schooling was finished in Gstaad Switzerland.
At 27, she was made Accessories Editor at Vogue magazine.
Upon meeting couture shoe designer Jimmy Choo, she saw potential in his exquisite handmade shoes and invested hundreds of thousands of pounds into his company. The company he founded in the early 90s became a partnership between Choo and Mellon from 1996 - 2001 until they brought in outside investors.
Today, Jimmy Choo is no longer involved in the business he co-founded. Fifty-percent of the business was owned by Equinox Luxury Holdings, a venture-capital firm until Dallas buy-out firm Hicks Muse Tate & First took a majority stake late last year. Tamara not only maintains an ownership stake, she runs the show, day-to-day.
Choo continues to work in London. However, he is no longer associated with the ready-to-wear collection that bears his name. Today, he primarily focuses on producing custom-made haute shoes for private clients.
Mellon and the company's creative director, Sandra Choi have been designing Jimmy Choo shoes since 1996. Previously, Choi was the chief designer and manager of Mrs. Choo's Couture business.
The company now boasts 250 outlets around the globe and celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Halle Berry and Catherine Zeta-Jones are avid fans.
Tamara is separated from her husband Matthew Mellon, who is the chief designer for upmarket shoemaker Harry's of London. Together, they have a daughter, Araminta.
At the glamorous fairytale blessing of their nuptials at Blenheim Palace, the bride wore a couture Valentino gown and both the bride and groom wore Jimmy Choos, as did almost half of the over 400 guests. Tamara and Matthew Mellon lives in Belgravia.
