Whistler is a western Canadian ski resort town located in British Columbia.
Seal reportedly presented Klum with a large canary diamond engagement ring which has been referred to by one witness as "a serious rock."
Seal, who is 41, has never before been married.
This will be the second marriage for the thirty-one year-old beauty who is affectionately called "The Body" by her fellow model friends.
Previously, Klum was married to hairstylist Ric Pipino. They were divorced in 2002 after five years of marriage.
Eight months ago, Klum had a daughter, Leni, with 54-year-old Formula One racing boss Flavio Briatore. However, it is said that Flavio has never visited his daughter. Fortunately, Seal stepped in as step-dad even before her birth.
Klum and Seal, 41, started dating last year shortly after her breakup with Briatore, and before Heidi gave birth to Leni in May.

Heidi was born in 1973 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany.
Her father, Gunther, worked for a cosmetics company, while her mother, Erna, was a hairdresser.
Heidi became a model in 1991 after winning the national "Model 92" contest.
In 1992, she gave up her pursuit of becoming a fashion designer and decide to focus on modeling.
In October 1993, she moved from Miami to Manhattan where she founded Heidi Klum GmbH.
Victoria Secret signed her on to the runway in 1997 where her career took off.
In 1998, she became the first German cover girl to grace the pages of the internationally famous Sports Illustrated Magazine.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue introduced 55 million readers to Heidi Klum.
She has appeared in the Sports Illustrated Calendar, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar and the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit DVD.
Since then, she has graced the covers of Elle, GQ, marie claire, Spiegel reporter, ARTNA, Esquire and Fit for Fun in Germany and America.
A year later, she broke into acting when she became Michael J. Fox's love interest. On the ABC hit sitcom Spin City, she played the role of a model in at least eight episodes.
As an actress, she recently was seen as original Bond girl Ursula Andress in the HBO TV-movie, The Life and Death of Peter Sellars.
She also appeared in Ella Enchanted as Brumhilda, the giant.
This fall she is hosting her own Reality TV show called "Project Runway" -- a contest among twelve aspiring fashion designers. She prefers to refer to her show on Bravo as a documentary.
"We're going to show the public what it's like to be a designer. I think people will be interested to see what it's really like, how talented designers are. What we're looking for is who is talented, not who is the funniest, not who is good-looking," said Klum.
Klum joins designer Michael Kors, Elle magazine's Nina Garcia and Constance White from eBay as the four fashion designer judges.
Heidi also has an exclusive line of swimwear. She has produced an annual calendar of her own.
Online, she sells her own limited and special edition collection of Birkenstock shoes.

On February 19, 1963, Seal was born in Britain with the name "Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel".
His mother, Adebsi is Brazilian. His father, Francis, is of Nigerian descent. His ancestry is also Afro-Caribbean. Seal is the second eldest of six brothers.
Seal's latest CD was released by Warner Brothers in November. It is called Best: 1991-2004.
This greatest hits CD is dedicated to Klum's daughter, Leni, who Seal already calls his own, as well as to Klum and her parents.
On December 14, 2004, Seal received a Male Pop Vocal Grammy nomination for his performance of "Love's Divine". This standout track comes from his CD Seal IV which was released in September 2003.
Seal's "Love's Divine" is nominated for a Grammy Award in the male pop vocal competition.

In 1996, Seal's Kiss From a Rose won a Grammy for Record and Song of the Year. That same year, he also received the award for best male pop vocal performance at the Grammys.
Kiss From a Rose remained No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts for 12 weeks.
Seal is one of our favorite artists. His music is soulful. As an artist he is always innovative.
I was first introduced to Seal thanks to another supermodel by the name of Cindy Crawford. Crawford's work-out videotapes remain my favorite today, especially her 1992 Shape Your Body Workout. Crawford's 1990's exercises were set to a Seal soundtrack. Through two pregnancies, I worked out to the sound of Seal. Until just a couple of years ago, I brought these video with me on every holiday I shared with my sister. It became a ritual to go for a run and then work-out with Cindy, Seal and Cindy's trainer, Radu.
Since 1991, Seal has sold fifteen million albums.
The 47th Annual Grammy Awards will air live February 13th 2005 on CBS in Los Angeles.
Recently, on The Today Show, Klum professed her love for Seal when she said, "I have the best partner on the planet you could have."
On New Year's eve, Seal and Heidi shared their news with friends at Mexico's luxe Cuixmala resort. Seal owns a home in the area.
The New Year's celebration was hosted by Alix Goldsmith Marcaccini, daughter of the late financier Sir James Goldsmith.
Other guests in Mexico to share in the celebration included Seal's old flame, Tyra Banks, who was with current beau Giancarlo Marcaccini, brother of Alix's husband, Gofreddo. Quentin Tarantino and Sofia Coppola were also there, along with Johnny Knoxville, Karolina Kurkova, Damon Dash and Rachel Roi, Simon and Yasmin Le Bon, and Richard Golub and Sarah Conca.
