On October 23rd at the Carousel of Hope Gala, philanthropist, Barbara Davis hosted her 16th bi-annual fundraiser in honor of her deceased husband, Marvin, her daughter, Dana and all those others stricken with Type 1 Diabetes.

Diabetic, award-winning actress, Halle Berry received the Brass Ring award.

Oprah Winfrey presented her award.

Beyonce, Faith Hill and Josh Groban performed.

Jay Leno mc'd the evening.

Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane, Mischa Barton and Brandon Davis (Barbara and Marvin's grandson), Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, along with Natalie Cole, Joan Collins, Kristin Davis, Carmen Electra, Donna Mills, Diana Ross, Nicollette Sheridan, Tori Spelling and Ivana Trump stopped to pose for the cameras.

Vanna White smiled.

And Muhammed Ali dressed to the nines.

These celebrities were among 1,500 who come out to give their support to the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in Denver.

Twenty-five of the celebrities who participated in the success of the evening had one thing in common: They all went home with a $17,000 gift bag, a gift bag that can be yours for the bidding.

The highest bidder in an eBay auction, which began this week and continues until November 4th, will receive the same collection of VIP items -- from Danger's new Sidekick II (a $300 telephone, e-mail, text messenger, web browser, alarm clock, flash camera & personal organizer in-one) with T-Mobile service for six months to three exquisite vacation packages.

Since Bel Air billionaire, Barbara Davis began the fundraiser, she has helped raise over $60 million for a cause that is near and dear to her heart.

Barbara's youngest daughter, Dana, is battling the disease, and just last month, complications from diabetes claimed the life of Barbara's husband of 53 years, Marvin.

"The Carousel of Hope is my child and my life," says Mrs. Davis, who came up with the ball idea after her daughter, Dana, was diagnosed with the disease.
