Jimmy Buffet's 'License To Chill' Tops Charts

buffet.jpg Jimmy Buffett Performing In New York

Far from wasting away in Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett shot to the pinnacle of the U.S. pop charts on July 21, 2004 as his latest release, 'License to Chill,' became the first No. 1 album of his career. Buffett is pictured as he performed on NBC television's 'Today' show in New York, June 25.

Clint Black, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, and George Strait all teamed up with Buffett on the album's marquee single, a remake of Hank Williams' classic "Hey, Good Lookin,"' which has become a country radio hit. They and others, among them Martina McBride and Nanci Griffith, also appear individually with Buffett on several other songs.
