We flew from San Francisco to Boston via Los Angeles on United Airlines. We hadn’t flown United for quite some time and our experience is that the service has taken a markedly positive turn. Everyone from the sky caps to the flight attendants had a very positive, upbeat attitude. Maybe the "near death" experience of bankruptcy has re-enlightened everyone at United.
Jennifer found a shuttle service that took the four of us, our dog and all of our luggage from Logan to Beacon Hill for only $14. What a great deal! We made sure that the driver got a healthy tip.
The weather in Boston is warm and muggy, which is quite a change from San Francisco’s very temperate climate. You get used to taking an extra layer with you at any time of day in San Francisco, so it’s great to walk around, especially at night, with only shorts and a t-shirt.
We took advantage of the warm weather to take our dog, Dakota, for a late night walk in Boston Common. It was great for Daktoa to stretch all four of her legs after being cooped up in her travel kennel during the long trip from San Francisco to Boston.
We went to bed dog-tired, but happy to be back in the city where we met many years ago.
